Information We Collect

MarkdownMaster is a client-side application. Your documents and content are never sent to our servers. All processing happens entirely in your browser.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Cookies & Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is optional. It is not loaded until you select “Allow analytics” in the consent banner. Selecting “No analytics” keeps GA4 off for this browser for one year.

If you allow analytics, GA4 may receive anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. The editor may also record a small set of fixed action labels, such as starting an edit, opening the formatting checker, copying Markdown, or exporting a file, so we can improve the workflow. We do not send Markdown documents, editor text, uploaded files, generated HTML, file names, or document titles to GA4. The site does not create analytics events containing your writing.

You can change this choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser and choosing again on your next visit. A small preference cookie records only whether you allowed or declined optional analytics.

Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Google may use the data per their own policies.

Data Security

Since all data processing happens client-side in your browser, there is no data transmission or storage risk related to your document content.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
